Books et cetera
I have three books in print at present and a DVD/Video. They are shown on the right.
Trick and Treat: How 'healthy eating' is making us ill.
Trick and Treat, almost 20 years in the making (I conceived the idea in 1989), is about how commercial 'health' interests rule our lives. It is big business that decides what doctors and nutritionists are taught. As a result, we are given advice that makes us ill and dependent on the companies that have damaged us. They then profit from treating our illnesses.
I am delighted to say that Trick and Treat was an Amazon.co.uk Number One Bestseller in the Preventive Medicine and Public Health category 10 days before it was actually available for sale in October 2008.
Trick and Treat was officially launched on 31 October. By 4 November it had to be reprinted, such was the demand in the UK and USA.
Natural Health and Weight Loss was published in 2007.
Natural Health and Weight Loss is the perfect companion to Trick and Treat. Where Trick and Treat tells of how and why our health is being undermined by Big Pharma and Big Food, Natural Health and Weight Loss
concentrates on how and what we should eat to be both slim and healthy.
Fluoride: Drinking ourselves to death?, published in 2001, is the commercial version of my PhD dissertation.
Fluoride: Drinking ourselves to death? gives the history of water fluoridation in the USA, UK and other countries — how and why it happened, the dangers of fluoridation and the commercial and political interests of those who promote it.
The Perfect Weight: Be slim without dieting is available both as a DVD and as a video (in any format).
This DVD/video is both informative and inspirational; The ideal way to learn about sucessful weight loss and health for those who don't like to read books. Although, that said, there is a booklet with the general points plus recipes included.
WHICH? magazine doesn't test low-carb diets — but rules on them anyway! This is an example of why you cannot trust some reviewers. My book, Eat Fat, Get Thin!, was tested by the Consumers' Association — except, it wasn't!
