Fluoride: Health or Politics
"In point of fact, fluoride causes more human cancer death, and causes it faster, than any other chemical."
Dean Burk, Chief Chemist Emeritus, US National Cancer Institute
If someone were to tell you that you were being subjected to medication, without your knowledge or consent, that the medication could lead to an increased risk of cancer and osteoporosis, that the chemical used is a commercial rat poison, and that this same medication was used by the Nazis to control people's minds, you would probably think he was mad. And if he said that this medication was being administered today with the full knowledge and coöperation of the medical profession, you would be sure he was mad. Yet, this is what seems to be happening to millions of people around the world today.
Fluoride. It is a word which all must have heard of. It is put in toothpastes, given to children in pill form, used as a gel on children's teeth and, even though it frequently occurs naturally, it is added to drinking water supplies. Indeed, in Britain the law allows water companies to add fluoride to water supplies whenever an Area Health Authority asks them to. And in some countries, it is now quite difficult, if not impossible, to avoid fluoride.
It may come as a surprise, therefore, that despite an impressive list of health, dental and regulatory organizations (which are listed) who advocate water fluoridation in Britain, they represent a minority opinion within the scientific community; only five countries worldwide fluoridate their water supplies to any extent, and that fluoride has either been discontinued or banned throughout continental Europe.
The case for the fluoridation of drinking water. The case for fluoridation rests entirely on the belief that it will prevent dental decay in children up to the age of about twelve.
The case against the fluoridation of drinking water. The case against water fluoridation is contained in the story of a long and often bitter fight against multinational industries.
There is a considerable body of evidence (given) which demonstrates that fluoride causes many serious diseases including osteosarcoma (a bone cancer found in children), osteoporosis and other bone disorders in older people, soft tissue damage, mental retardation and lowered IQ scores in children, and premature ageing.
Using World Health Organisation data and results of clinical trials and epidemiological studies, the evidence makes clear that far from being beneficial to teeth it can actually harm them.
The history of fluoride is one of deceit and coverups. Without the facility afforded by water fluoridation, many large multinationals and governments would face huge costs getting rid of what is a very poisonous toxic waste.
Is it legal? No doctor in Britain may prescribe medication without his patient's consent. How then can it be ethical for any health professional to prescribe medication for persons he has not met, whose past medical histories are not known, whose current medical needs are not known, where the dose that each individual will take in is not known, when it is not known whether the medication will react with other medications being taken, or even whether those people need the medication at all.
Fluoridation encroaches on a person's sovereignty over his body and the selfsame principle that seeks to justify fluoridation would also justify adding tranquillisers, vitamins, antibiotics, contraceptives, laxatives or anything else to the water supply. This is the principle of totalitarianism. Fluoridation is against the spirit and the letter of the laws of England.
The reasoning behind water fluoridation is refuted here.
FLUORIDE:
Drinking Ourselves to Death?
which details the adverse effects of fluoride, and discusses the results of the
British Government-sponsored Review of fluoridation conducted at York

Drinking Ourselves to Death?
According to Dr Vyvyan Howard, MB. ChB. PhD. FRCPath., Head of the Department of Toxico-Pathology at University of Liverpool, FLUORIDE: Drinking Ourselves to Death? "Must be regarded as essential reading . . . informative and thought-provoking."
